Installation options for SOGEA

For any FTTP installation that involves a visit by the engineer to the local cabinet or customer premises, you can choose between a Standard install and a Premium install.

Standard Managed-Install

An engineer visit to the end customer premises. Engineer activities include:

1. Up to 15m of external wiring tacked around the outside of the building prior to entry.

2. Connect the ONT inside the premises within 1m of nearest 13amp mains power socket and no more than 10m of internal wiring from the fibre point of entry if needed to locate a suitable mains power socket.

3. Connect the CP router.

4. Connect 1 device (includes: set-top boxes, PCs, laptops and smart phones, but does not include games consoles, WiFI extenders and WiFi disks, dingles or CP specific units - devices not previously connected at the end customer premises will not be connected).

5. Demonstrate service to customer.

Premium Managed-Install

A higher level of installation service. Engineer activities includes all the Standard features (above) along with additional activities to optimise connectivity within the end customer premise, including:

1. More than 15m of external wiring (only where needed to reach chosen location) tacked around the outside of the building prior to entry.

2. Connect the ONT inside the premises within 1m of nearest 13amp mains power socket and no more than 30m of internal wiring from the fibre point of entry if needed to locate a suitable mains power socket.

3. Install up to 2 data extension kits and/or Shift the ONT where customer wants/needs.

4. Reposition the end customer router to provide best Wi-Fi coverage.

5. Carry our WiFi analysis in up to 3 rooms in the premise.

6. Remove powerline adapters (with customer permission)

7. Connect up to 2 more devices and demonstrate (total = 3)  (includes: set-top boxes, PCs, laptops and smart phones, but does not include games consoles, WiFI extenders and WiFi disks, dingles or CP specific units - devices not previously connected at the end customer premises will not be connected).
